The beginning of Jamey’s Bridal came about 19 years ago when I tried on my first prom dress. I knew then this was something I wanted to do. I went on to college to design bridal dresses and soon learned that I couldn’t draw. It was better to stick with the business side of things.
When I married my high school sweetheart, David, in 1990, I realized that I love the whole idea of the bridal industry. As fate would have it, I was hired by a men’s formalwear company that I worked for nearly 10 years. I took a leave of absence after I had Jamey. At that time we decided it was best to be a stay at home mom. I still helped out at Bridal Shows and Beauty Pageants because I knew some day I would still open my own bridal shop and do things my way.
As time would allow it, everything fell into place. I visited several other salons and knew what I wouldn’t do and that was be like all of them. I wanted contemporary, fun & comfort. I am now doing what I love and have wanted to do for a long time. When we planned our goals and future we felt that this is the type of business that you can hand down through the family. So the business is named after Jamey in hopes that she’ll love it too!
I enjoy people and know that everyone who comes through my doors will be treated like friends. I want to hear your story and help you plan the day of your dreams. Come in and see us soon.
